Reina’s vinyl journey began with a suitcase turntable and an irresistibly pretty pressing, and it’s since evolved into a vibrant Instagram presence and a YouTube channel that doubles as a personal archive of her collection and concert memories. We caught up to chat about the best place to dig in London, the friendships she’s found through vinyl, and the joy of listening to music without distractions.
How did you get into record collecting?
At the time one of my favourite bands had released an album and I just got myself a suitcase player and wanted the record because it was so pretty. Rock bands tend to go all out on diverse pressings.
What is it about vinyl that you love most?
Keeps me off of my phone, sometimes I just want to listen to music without any interruptions to the albums or see notifications pop up! It’s also a bonus when a song may not be easily available online anymore, or the online version has changed (which has happened to me countless times).
“I have at least ten solid friendships I have made from just meeting people online who collect worldwide”
How long have you been sharing your collection on Instagram, and what made you start?
Since November last year, my friends were begging me to ’cause I also do photography so having this page is right up my alley. I have always shared my collection on social media through posting videos but this to me is more of a visible archive.

What’s your favourite thing about the vinyl community there?
The friends I have made. I have at least ten solid friendships I have made from just meeting people online who collect worldwide. I’m truly grateful for that.
Tell us more about your YouTube channel
My YouTube channel is a music hub. You will find a little bit of everything there. It started with me posting concert performance videos and then I progressed to unboxing videos. I have plans to do more on there.
What’s the most prized record in your collection?
My Ariana Grande Eternal Sunshine signed record. It’s signed on the jacket too which I prefer.
What’s your go-to crate digging spot?
Brick Lane in London for me. I love the weekend market they have! Good location and you can find not just records in there, but other music adjacent items like cool music inspired clothing there too.
